Dr. Jimoh’s areas of special interest include colon cancer screening, treating patients with acid reflux and Barrett’s esophagus. He performs Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of Barrett’s esophagus with dysplasia. He also treats patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. He treats liver disease like hepatitis, fatty liver diseases and cirrhosis. Dr. Jimoh is also a leader in the treatment of hemorrhoids using an in office, non-surgical and pain-free technique.
Dr. Jimoh and his wife, a radiologist, came to feel at home in the Charlotte area while Dr. Jimoh was in medical school at Duke. He is multilingual, fluent in English and Yoruba, and is intermediate in Spanish.
In his spare time, Dr. Jimoh likes to play soccer, golf, surf, ski, and travel internationally due to his Nigerian roots.

Dr. Portwood’s specialties include gastroenterology, hepatology, and pancreatic and biliary diseases. He completed his medical education at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Hospitals in Charlottesville, Virginia. His fellowship was completed in gastroenterology at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Portwood is married and has two children. His interests include travel, basketball, and jazz music. He also enjoys home projects.

He now lives with his wife and their dog in Charlotte. He enjoys traveling, trying all types of foods, and spending time with family and friends. He is an avid Detroit sports fan and likes to hike, golf, and play basketball in his free time. Additionally, Dr. Chand is fluent in conversational Hindi.

Dr. Rothwell’s specialties include gastroenterology and hepatology. Her clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease & irritable bowel syndrome, esophageal & stomach disorders, and colorectal cancer. She also treats Hepatitis C and takes care of those with cirrhosis or fatty liver. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Colorado in Denver, and is board certified in Internal Medicine. She completed her fellowship in gastroenterology at the Medical University of South Carolina. As a Texas native, Dr. Rothwell is fluent in conversational Spanish.
Dr. Rothwell and her husband love Charlotte with all its outdoor activities and its proximity to the mountains. In her spare time, Dr. Rothwell can be found working out (especially Orange Theory), doing yoga, hiking, and traveling

Ronnie Cyzner, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing at Carolina Digestive Health Associates, PA, with 13 locations in the greater Charlotte area, including: Belmont, Charlotte, Uptown, Concord, Davidson, Matthews, Monroe, Huntersville, University, and Pineville, North Carolina. He sees adult patients starting at age 17 at the Matthews office and the Pineville office. Dr. Cyzner specializes in adult gastroenterology, hepatology, and pancreatic and biliary disease. He’s also involved in research studies.
Before moving to Charlotte to join the Carolina Digestive Health Associates team in 1999, Dr. Cyzner earned his medical degree at the New York Medical College in Valhalla and an internal medicine residency at the Westchester University Medical Center, also in Valhalla. Finally, Dr. Cyzner completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Cyzner enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He enjoys golfing, tennis, racquetball, and health and fitness.
